Some Las Vegas Casinos Won't Survive The Pandemic

3 minutes read

As the vaccine spreads, it would seem that the world should return to normal - however, this is not quite the case, especially when it comes to large land-based casinos. The COVID-19 pandemic is known to have been ruthless on a number of Las Vegas gambling establishments, so casino operators suffered major losses. And while some land-based casinos are ready to accept players again, others have closed their doors for good. Althow several notable players in the Las Vegas gambling market - Essential Road Station, Eldorado, Texas Station and The Palms - announced that they may return to action, but that won't happen until the tourism industry recovers.

Las Vegas Casinos Closure

As for Eldorado, it is worth noting that there has been a rebranding. So, the gambling house under the new name 'The Move' could start receiving visitors in the coming days. While we don't know why this date was chosen, the doors will open again on April 1, and this is no joke. While the future of Texas Station and The Palms seems more uncertain, these two casinos also stand some chance of survival in these troubled times.

In addition, there are a number of casinos including Fiesta Rancho, Fiesta Henderson and Eastside Cannery that are unlikely to please gamblers ever again. To that list should be added Harrah's Reno and Lakeside Inn who have already announced that they are going out of business. In addition, there are a number of B&M casinos that operated with negligible profit margins, so opening them at a time of low tourism and a number of existing restrictions is not advisable.

Fortunately, the online gambling industry, a worthy alternative to land-based casinos, continues to grow at a rapid pace, completely covering the gaps that arose due to the closure of a number of gambling houses. With a wide range of gaming options, fast and secure transactions, and the ability to play from anywhere and even on the go, iGaming is able to meet the needs of any gambling enthusiast.
