GambleAware, a UK-based organization dedicated to helping fight gambling addiction, has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the problem gambling. The last phase of the program involves collaboration with NHS, UK National Health Service. The latter will provide assistance through several channels - online, by telephone and individually. Help can be received by any gambler suffering from gambling addiction from anywhere in the country.

The essence of the problem is that people who are overly involved in gambling spend less time with their loved ones and work, which ultimately makes them disconnected from society. The main goal of the new campaign is to help addicted people take back control. While treatment for gambling addiction has long been available to everyone, GambleAware's initiative is to make access to treatment even easier.
According to GambleAware, the risk group includes individuals aged 22 to 55 who spend a certain time for gambling activities daily. Men aged 24-35 turned out to be the most susceptible to gambling addiction. As interest in the iGaming industry is growing during the pandemic, the problem is even more acute. It is noteworthy that according to the results of previous campaigns, the likelihood of seeking help increased by 10%.
