During the game of roulette, all attention is focused on the ball spinning in the wheel. Everyone hopes that it will stop at the most successful sector and make the player a millionaire. At this moment, very few people look at the roulette table, that is, on the playing field, where, in fact, bets are waiting to return to the player in a larger volume or to pass into the casino’s “hands”.
Mostly, the cloth on the playing field is the same regardless of the chosen casino. However, some differences in the game table marking can still occur. For a beginner, inscriptions and numbers on the cloth can cause difficulties. How to understand all the mark signs?
To begin with, it is worth noting that the game table is divided into fields: internal and external.
The internal field is filled with sectors with numbers that are on the game wheel. Since the sectors are square, they are often called squares. They, as well as the sectors on the wheel, can be painted in red and black. This rule is most fair for the American roulette, while the European roulette is more often characterized by white numbers. A green square for zero can also be met on the field; the same color is characteristic of double zero, if we are talking about a table for American roulette. Numbers are present in the form of twelve columns in three rows. In order to make a bet, for example, you need to select a square with a certain number or a line between two squares.
The external field of the roulette table has a different markup with inscriptions. Each of them means a certain combination that you can bet on. Combinations vary depending on the roulette type.
What are the most famous combination?
- Even/odd. You can choose whether an even or odd number will fall.
- Red/black. You can choose the color of the sector fell out.
- Small/large numbers. Small ones include numbers from 1 to 18. Large ones, respectively, include numbers from 19 to 36.
- There are also sections with the designation of the first (from 1 to 12), second (from 13 to 24) and third (from 25 to 36) dozens.
- There are also separate designations for each of the columns with 12 numbers; that is, only three.
In addition to the above fields, a separate oval field called a track, which, in fact, is a projection of the roulette wheel, can be present on the roulette table. Track allows players making verbal bets, which do not require putting chips on the playing field.
