Playson, a major provider of gaming products and software solutions for online casinos, continues to expand its business in Europe, obtaining licenses from local regulators and making deals with new online casino operators. Recently, it was reported that the company had secured a license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) in Greece. For the accreditation by the Greek regulator, the company has gone through a rigorous application process. As it is known, Greece is a fast-growing regulated market with several major online casino operators serving local players. Once licensed, Playson will be able to make deals with local operators and provide access to their best games such as Legend of Cleopatra Megaways, Solar Queen, Wolf Power: Hold and Win and many others.

According to Playson's legal advisor, they are happy to receive a license from the Greek regulator as it opens up great prospects for further development of their business. Since Greece is one of the fastest-growing markets in the region and a priority for their company, the addition of this license to their portfolio will allow them to quickly achieve significant commercial results. The official noted that Playson is happy to provide access to their most popular games, highlighting their ability to deliver the highest-quality products and the best software solutions to their current and new partners.
As a reminder, the Greek government has recently made several changes to the law regulating gambling in the local market. The issuance of licenses began sometime after the amendments establishing the following requirements for the way gambling services are provided:
- Playing online slots, players will not be able to bet more than 2 EUR per game round;
- The minimum delay between two game rounds is 3 seconds, which means that the Autoplay option is not available or will at least work differently;
- The maximum prize fund within the game round cannot exceed €70,000.
According to the amendments to the law, before supplying their games, Playson must be completely satisfied that they are fully compliant with the new requirements. Notably, Playson's success in Greece is not the only one in the last few weeks. Thus, a few days ago, the provider announced a deal with ExeFeed, B2B gambling services vendor, to provide access to their gaming portfolio. In late May, Playson partnered with MaxBet, a major online casino operator in Romania.
