As vaccination against the COVID-19 virus progresses, the stress that many companies are experiencing with earlier restrictions is beginning to wane. Thanks to this, many states made concessions, removing all kinds of restrictions that impeded the normal functioning of business, including offline casinos. As known, the greatest damage due to the pandemic was incurred by casino operators who interact with their customers directly as they do not use online tools. Although casinos in most states will be able to return 100% to normal, they will have to take some social distancing measures that will undoubtedly affect their operations.

According to a recent announcement by the governors of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, the three most affected states, all restrictions on offline business, including the gambling industry, will be lifted from May 19. This decision will help improve the economy of the area and will allow many workers to return to work in order to be able to earn a living. However, gambling venues are obligated to comply with certain restrictions, which may affect the service to their customers. To estimate the losses associated with COVID-19, just look at Mohegan Solar from Connecticut, whose workforce has been reduced to 4,800 from the previous 7,500.
As for Pennsylvania, all severe restrictions imposed due to the spread of COVID-19 will be lifted closer to the summer of this year. Most likely, local casino visitors will still have to wear masks. However, this protective measure will also be eradicated after 70% of the adult population is vaccinated. There is also some good news about the state of Nevada, whose casinos are now filling 50-80% of their capacity. For example, Clark County casinos will be able to receive the maximum number of visitors immediately after 80% of their staff are vaccinated, which will undoubtedly happen in the near future. Presumably, all Nevada casinos will be open at maximum capacity by June 1st. The exception was Philadelphia, whose Commissioner Thomas Farley has not yet announced plans to reopen gambling venues for which he received a decent share of criticism.
