888sport has signed a deal with Cardiff City to become the football club’s first training wear sponsor and global betting partner. The operator’s branding will feature on the EFL Championship club’s first-team training kit for the rest of the current 2020/21 season.
The partnership will also offer Cardiff supporters favourable betting odds and unique competitions, while 888 will work with the club with the launch of activation programmes, details of which will be released during the season.
888 SVP head of B2C Guy Cohen, said: “We’re delighted to announce this new partnership with Cardiff City Football Club and look forward to getting behind the club’s push to bring Premier League football back to the Welsh capital.”
Cardiff City executive director and CEO Ken Choo, added: “Once again, I’m thrilled that we have entered into a partnership with a world-recognised brand like 888 Sport. “We’re very happy to have them with us for the season ahead and I look forward to seeing the opportunities they will help create for City fans.”
Cardiff currently ply its trade in English football’s second tier, after being relegated from the Premier League in 2018/19. Last month, 888sport became the National Football League’s (NFL) official sports betting partner in the UK, while parent company 888 Holdings, saw revenue rise 37% year-on-year to $379.1m, for H1 2020.
